Will former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp return to coaching?
Although Jurgen Klopp has not specifically ruled out a comeback to football, the former Liverpool manager has indicated it could not be in management.
After a very successful nine-year tenure realizing he was "running out of energy," Klopp departed Liverpool at the end of last season.
He left Anfield to take a year off from the game, but despite his vacation he has already been connected to many employment, including replacing Gareth Southgate, who left following an eight-year run as England manager.
Speaking at the Coaches' Congress in Wurzburg, former Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp ruled himself out of the race for the England role, and any other management post, implying he may never return to the game as a manager.
"That's it for me as a coach as of right now," he remarked.
"I made a general choice; I did not resign on whim. I have also guided the top clubs in the globe.
"Perhaps we should discuss it once more in few months. Using my contacts and knowledge, I still like to work in football helping others. Let's check what else is within reach for me.
Klopp said, "I have nothing to say about that," when asked what type of employment prospects his adviser Marc Kosicke had been presenting him since he left Liverpool in May.

" Right now, employment are seldom at all relevant. None of clubs, none of nations.
"It makes no difference who calls: I mentioned in my resignation letter that I would not coach any nation or team for one year. Some folks have to have missed that component. Someone phoned the very following day and I responded, "Are you crazy?" I simply said yesterday."
Klopp remarked, "That would be the biggest loss of face in the history of football if I said, 'I'll make an exception for you.'" When the moderator highlighted alleged interest from Euro 2024 finalists England following Gareth Southgate's retirement, Klopp commented I consider my circumstances to be rather lucky. Many managers are present here; the circumstance whereby the phone never stops ringing and one may travel anyplace is a fortune few have. Still, the time could not be worse to reach me."
"I'm going to do some work" he said. "I'm too young to only engage in padel tennis and grandkids." Would that be coach once more? Right now, I would actually rule it out.
"Let us find out in a few months what it will look like. Right now nothing is flowing through."
"A genuine chance Klopp won't be on touchline again as a coach."
Mark Ogden of ESPN spoke on Back Page Tonight on Sky Sports News:
"Klopp went on public on Wednesday with what those close to him have been saying for the previous three or four weeks, that he truly isn't interested in working again for at least 12 months. He wants a year off; even at the conclusion of that year he might not choose to coach once more.
Given Klopp is among the most charismatic players in the game, it would be a big tragedy if he were not on the touchline once more as a coach.
Clearly, though, he has excluded himself from immediate employment. He never really was a candidate for the England post.
"It would have been fantastic if he were. Though it wasn't for him, I believe he would be ideal for England.

"The USA job is slightly different since they host a World Cup in two years time and the US Soccer Federation actually made an approach to try and convince him to go over there, even if it is just for a short-term appointment." He opposed that.
"It's interesting, though, that he mentioned he would once more give his future some thought in a few months." Therefore, perhaps following a year off from the game, that American job could just appeal in the sense that there is no pressure. Try to leave the group in a home World Cup; everything is at your advantage. It's also a quite outstanding country for sports.
"Although the pay would not be great, a celebrity like Jurgen Klopp's earning potential off the field in the US would be enormous. He would be endorsing everything and on all the chat programs.
"I can see the US position tempting in a years time, but right now he's made it plain he's absolutely not returning this year and definitely not leaping back into a coaching role.
Given Klopp's youth, it will be fascinating to observe what happens with him. He's 57 and still has plenty of miles on the clock, but we'll have to wait and see whether he wants to coach once more."
