Ten minutes later, Richarlison controlled Vinicius Junior’s low cross, swivelled and mid-flight launched a scissor kick that flew into the bottom corner.

Joao Felix vs Ghana
Joao Felix might not be the star at either of Atletico Madrid or Portugal, but he is certainly more important with his national side. The pair were locked at 1-1 after Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty was cancelled out by Andre Ayew just minutes later. However it was Joao Felix who would respond in kind. As he was set loose in behind the defence, he made no mistake with a cool finish. An excellent pass from maestro Bruno Fernandes split the Ghana defence in half and Felix flashed his composure to stroke the ball into the back of the net.
Bukayo Saka vs Iran
England made a scintillating start to their World Cup campaign as Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham inspired a 6-2 rout of outclassed Iran in Monday’s Group B opener in Doha. Bukayo Saka led the scoring chart for the 3 Lions with a brace, by collecting Harry Maguire's knockdown and fired a half-volley into the back of the net.
Salem Al-Dawsari vs Argentina
Everything about this is sensational. For a team like Saudi Arabia to even score against Argentina is wild, let alone score twice, let alone score an absolute worldie like this from Salem Al-Dawsari.Al Dawsari, who plays for Al Halil in the Saudi Pro League, got on the ball on the left side of the penalty area and managed to bring it under his control despite pressure from the Argentine defence. He then did a Cruyff turn before jinking past another defender and curling an effort into the far post beyond the grasping claw of Emiliano Martinez.
Dani Olmo vs Costa Rica
Dani Olmo opened the scoring with Spain’s 100th World Cup goal, before a brace from Ferran Torres and strikes from Marcos Asesnio, Gavi, Alvaro Morata and Carlos Soler completed the rout. Takuma Asano vs Germany
A long ball, hopeful rather than precise, was taken down by Asano in expert fashion, letting it fall by his side before trapping it with a perfect touch beyond Germany’s trailing defender Nico Schlotterbeck. He then drove to the right corner of the box, holding off Schlotterbeck’s challenge and getting into an acute shooting position at Neuer’s near post, before shooting hard and high into the roof of the German veteran’s net. It was a moment of utter brilliance, the kind that sets events like the World Cup alight.
